Teodora Krumova presented the results from the national survey on Romani women issues during a round table “The Romani woman: presence and future.” The round table took place on May 16^th, 2008 in the National Center for Professional Development in Sofia. The meeting was opened by Ms. Emilia Maslarova, Minister of Labor and Social Policy and Baki Hyuseinov, National coordinator of the Decade of Roma Inclusion.

«The Romani woman has the potential to change the negative attitude towards the whole Roma community” Emilia Maslarova stated at the beginning of the meeting and presented the Romani women who had successfully graduated the entrepreneurship course.

The professional development of Romani women and the role of the Romani woman in the family were the key topics at the meeting. Kamelia Dimitrova from Open Society Institute – Sofia, Violeta Naydenova from Open Society Institute – Budapest, Lili Kovacheva from the Center for Educational Integration, Romani women activists – Lili Makaveeva, Maria Stoimenova, Stela Kostova, Myuseam Ali, etc took part in the meeting. 
At the end of the Round table Emilia Voynova, director of Equal Opportunities Department took the engagement for more active inclusion of Romani women in the process of elaborating programs and policies by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
